About Us
And He looked up and saw the rich people putting their gifts into the treasury.
He also saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins.
He said, "Truly I say to you, the poor widow has put in more than all of them;
For all of them have contributed out of their abundance;
But she, out of her poverty, has put in all that she had to live on."
Luke 21: 1 - 4
God has blessed us with musical gifts. To honor our Father, we offer all of our talents to him in song.

Two Copper Coins is a group of friends that have come together to play a mix of Christian music. The group plays a variety of music including contemporary, country, gospel, and traditional tunes.

History: You could say that this group has gone through a sort of "metamorphosis". The initial concept of a group began back in 2001, when Joel and Jay got together with a few other friends to practice and play contemporary worship music. Peggy joined the group in 2002. A few have come and gone since then including Buffy, Jay, and Denny. The band now consists of 6 members; Joel, Peggy, Beth, Sarah, Art, and of the course the most important member, the sound guy, Kevin.

Gifts: The members of Two Copper Coins feel that they have been blessed by God with various musical gifts. To honor Him, they offer up all of their music to God. This group has made themselves available to play and sing at various churches and retreats in the surrounding area, including Cannon Falls, Randolph, Wanamingo, and Dundas. They have also ventured into western Wisconsin, and the Twin Cities area.

Songwriting: Several members of the group have gone one step further with their music. Joel and Peggy have each written and composed several of their own songs. The group has recorded some of these songs and included them on the CDs. Check out the "Music" page for previews and ordering information.

Friendship: The members of the group have built up a true friendship over the years, and they look forward to the practice sessions. The time they spend together is about so much more that just their common love of music. When the group gathers, there are certainly plenty of laughs, but there are also times for sharing personal concerns and prayer requests. The time spent together has become very valuable, and a boost for their heart, mind and spirit.
